Terms and Conditions

These conditions shall apply to all online transactions between Highland Fayre Limited (“Highland Fayre”) and any person, firm or company (“the Purchaser”) placing an order online with Highland Fayre for the manufacture and/or supply of any goods (“the Goods”). Highland Fayre by accepting any order for Goods from the Purchaser agrees to sell and the Purchaser agrees to purchase such Goods at the price stated on Highland Fayre’s website and on the sole basis of the terms and conditions of Highland Fayre stated herein.

Prices for Goods include Highland Fayre’s standard packaging, VAT (VAT No: 400 7399 70) and postage or carriage.

Highland Fayre provides a secure payment system by utilising the services of Commidea Ltd for all online payments. Payments can be submitted online using protocol 128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer), the strongest commercially available level of encryption. The private data of the Purchaser will be encrypted at all times whilst in transit over the Internet. The Purchaser should see a solid padlock in their browser status bar which indicates that the encryption is taking place. Credit card payments can be made using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Delta, PayPal and BACS.

Goods will only be despatched once payment has been received in full.

Property in the Goods shall not pass until the full amount has been paid.

Highland Fayre will make every effort to despatch orders within 5 working days of receipt. The standard prices listed on the website include a Next Day delivery service within the UK mainland (Monday to Friday only). Delivery to the Scottish Highlands and outside the UK mainland will be between 2-5 days, depending upon the destination.

The carrier will attempt delivery and if the recipient is not at home the carrier will leave a card with written instructions asking them to contact their local depot to arrange a convenient delivery date.  The carrier will re-attempt delivery the following day and will once again leave a card if the recipient is not home.  It is then the recipient's responsibilty to contact the depot and arrange for collection.  If you wish the carrier to re-attempt delivery a third time a surcharge of £7.05 will be deducted from the Purchaser's credit card.  If there has been no response within 3 working days Highland Fayre will be notified of the situation. If Highland Fayre is unable to rectify the problem, having tried to make contact with the Purchaser, then the Goods will be returned to Highland Fayre. Thereafter, the Purchaser will incur a re-delivery charge to deliver the Goods again at twice the original cost, (since Highland Fayre will have incurred a return charge by the carrier). The Purchaser will also be charged for any items which have become unsuitable for sale and need replaced (mainly perishable items like smoked salmon and cheese which have short shelf lives).

The Purchaser can contact Highland Fayre for an upgraded UK delivery service, (i.e Saturdays). The extra charges will be quoted on request.

Orders for Christmas must be received by Highland Fayre NO LATER than the last Monday in November.

The Purchaser can cancel an order prior to despatch or within 7 working days of receipt of Goods by Telephone +44 (0)1738 639222 or Email sales@highlandfayre.co.uk, stating the “Order Acknowledgement” reference number which is automatically emailed to the Purchaser on receipt of the online order by Highland Fayre. The Purchaser’s credit card will be refunded by Highland Fayre for the full amount within 2 working days if the Goods have not been despatched. If, within 7 working days of receipt of Goods, the Purchaser wishes to cancel the contract, the Goods must be returned to Highland Fayre Ltd, Ruthvenfield Road, Inveralmond Industrial Estate, Perth, PH1 3WB, suitably packaged, whereupon the Purchaser’s credit card will be refunded by Highland Fayre for the full amount within 2 working days.

The Purchaser should inform Highland Fayre immediately of any problems by Telephone +44 (0)1738 639222 or Email sales@highlandfayre.co.uk. Complaints are taken very seriously by Highland Fayre and will be dealt with within 5 working days, although most complaints can be corrected within a few hours.
