About Back Up Trust

Back Up Trust is a UK-based charity founded in 1986 that supports people of all ages and backgrounds who have sustained a spinal cord injury. The organisation’s mission is to transform lives after spinal cord injury by providing emotional and practical support to those affected, as well as their families and friends.

The charity’s key activities include:

• Rehabilitation and mentoring: Offering wheelchair skills training, mentoring, and peer support to help individuals regain confidence and independence.

• Education and employment support: Helping people return to school, university, or work after injury.

• Family support services: Providing guidance and reassurance to relatives and carers.

• Advocacy and awareness: Working to ensure that people with spinal cord injuries are fully included and valued in society.

Back Up Trust relies on donations and fundraising to provide these vital services free of charge, helping people rebuild their lives and thrive beyond injury.
